GUEST INSTRUCTOR!
I am very excited to announce that beadweaver extraordinair, Bonnie Mountain, will be teaching 2 classes here at TBGO on Saturday Oct. 4th . Bonnie has been beading for 8 years and "crafting" for most of her life. She has learned beadweaving techniques from instructors in both California and Oregon; from books; magazines and self-taught experimentation. Her background in other arts and crafts has provided her with a balanced approach to color and design. She has been teaching beadweaving in the Portland, Or. area for 4 years and is a member of the Portland Bead Society. She has a busy day planned for us with 2 very different class offerings: Pearls and Lace and Ogalala Gone Wild Bracelets
Pearls and Lace Bracelet is Bonnies' own design. It is a lovely lacy number using Swarovski pearls. A feminine, classy piece with a vintage look you'll love to wear. You'll probably want to make more than one. This project is OK for all levels of beaders. This 3 hour class is from 10am to 1pm 10/4. Cost is $40 plus materials payable 1 wk prior to class day.
Ogalala Gone Wild Bracelet- In this 2 hour class learn a very easy traditional Native American stitch. This simple lacey pattern gets revved up in vivid colors. It's a "fiesta on your wrist." This great beginner project also makes a fabulous gift! 2-4pm on Sat. Oct 4. Cost is $30 plus materials payable 1 wk prior to class day.
